The tree and filters use categoryPath. Rationale inferred from current architecture.

Decision

Directories are the hierarchical taxonomy; tags do not create categories.

Alternatives

Free tags or manual categories as primary font.

Consequences

Predictable and filesystem compliant organization; move file changes category.
